- Sobriety and chemical dependence
- Personal empowerment, assertiveness, and self-awareness
- Mild learning disabilities and adaptation to work and school
- Completion of high school/secondary school or GED
- Preparation for college and university entrance
- College and university attendance and success
- Transition from college to career
- Conflict resolution and anger management
- Parent and family problems
- Environmental/community problems
- Individual living situation and conditions.
We can provide services, guidance, and encouragement in the following areas:
- Transition from high school, including therapeutic programs and schools, to college and/or work-life
- 24 hours/7 days a week on-call support
- Leyden Retreat for short-term respite
- Individual counseling as needed
- Relapse prevention counseling
- Group seminars
- Parent and family counseling and encouragement
- Educational assessment and support
- Vocational/career/work-life assessment and support
- Individual tutoring and mentoring as needed
- Psychiatric and health services referrals
- Personal financial management
- Home management and housekeeping skills
- Meal nutrition, planning and preparation
- Personal hygiene, exercise, and keeping fit.
Rather than being a school or a residential program, we are unencumbered by a set curriculum, and are guided by our principles and the needs of our clients. We do provide highly effective one-on-one counseling and support services as needed based on the individual and unique needs of our clients.
We ask for an initial minimum commitment of six months, though our services will usually continue for a year or more. Our services do not include tuition, rent, medical expenses, health insurance, and other personal expenses. We expect and encourage our clients to contribute to their own support as appropriate.
