Nor need we power or splendor, wide hall or lordly dome;

The good, the true, the tender - these form the wealth of home.

Typical Days

Strongbridge Associates LLC serves a variety of startup adults and offers services tailored to their individual and unique needs. What follows represents a range of typical days and activities for three different people with distinctive needs and experiences. There are good days and bad days in any life, and typically our clients have better days, now and in the future.

Nicole, 23, a “Master”

Nicole lives in an apartment with a roommate. She is a junior in college and attends classes in the morning and some afternoons. Her major is Recreation Management. Later in the day, she works as a swimming instructor in an after school training program, a part-time job related to her chosen field. She works mostly with middle school aged swimmers, and enjoys their enthusiasm. In the evening, she makes time for homework and friends.

At 7:00 in the evening, Nicole calls her Strongbridge Associates advisor, with whom she has developed a trusting relationship over the past year and a half. They talk about how she is balancing her academics and her job with her other interest—inline skating.

In the past, Nicole struggled with depression and abused stimulants. Drug abuse and her lifestyle nearly destroyed her hope and her relationship with her family. She dropped out of school, and after several dangerous experiences, she spent time in rehabilitation and gained insight into her depression and drug dependence. Now she talks with her advisor once a week, and knows she can call anytime if she needs support. Nicole is committed to living without drugs and accomplishing the life goals she once discarded. Her motivation comes from accepting personal responsibility for her goals. Her self-discipline comes from being honest with herself and doing her best.
